Where can I find the Calibration tool?
Starting on June 28, 2023, the Calibration Tool can be found in the "Adjust" Tab of the Edit Screen in Polarr. The Calibration Tool is currently available to all Polarr Studio Subscribers on iOS and Android.
I do not have a subscription to Polarr, can I still use the Calibration tool?
If you do not have a subscription to Polarr, you are able to try the Calibration tool. However, you will not be able to export your photo with the Calibration edits. You will need to upgrade your subscription to Polarr Studio to export with the Calibration tool.
I do not have a subscription to Polarr, can I still use a filter that has the Calibration tool?
If you do not have a subscription to Polarr, you are able to use a filter with the Calibration tool as long as it is not a premium filter. If you already have 3 free filters saved, you may only be able to use a filter with the Calibration tool through Instant Export.
How do I use the Calibration tool?
There are a total of 7 powerful adjustments that can be made with Calibration. Balance is used to control the overall color tendency of all the color existing in your photo. You will notice there are individual Hue and Saturation adjustments for the primary colors: Red, Green, and Blue. Hue is used to control the direction and amplitude of the specific colors giving you the power to change the specific color's appearance. Saturation is used to control the intensity of the specific colors so you can control how much depth and richness you want to add to your images.
Each adjustment bar provides a visual representation of the resulting color after making adjustments so you can experiment and understand the color transformations clearly. We also offer 8 Calibration presets that will instantly apply stunning colors to your photos.
Can I create a Polarr Filter with the Calibration tool?
Yes. You can easily create a Polarr Filter with the Calibration Tool. You must have the newest version of Polarr (6.8.4) downloaded to use a filter that has Calibration adjustments. If you re using an older version of Polarr (Versions older than 6.8.4) and scan a filter that uses the Calibration tool, all adjustments except the Calibration adjustments will be applied.
Can I combine the Calibration adjustments with other adjustments?
Yes. You can combine the Calibration adjustments with any tool in the Polarr app such as Color, Temperature, HSL, and Curves. If you want breathtaking color effects, we recommend combining the Calibration adjustments with other adjustments.
