Flatten applies an effect to your photo and then treat your photo as a brand new image from scratch. This means you "freeze" previous edits of your photo into a new copy and start editing it again as if this is a new image.
Starting in Polarr Photo Editor 6.0, the app flattens your image for imported Styles so that creator's originally intention for the edit and their adjustments steps, as well as intellectual properties are protected. However, you can always undo a flatten step and go back to your previous editing histories.
